What is Restorative Justice?

Restorative Justice (RJ) is an alternative way of responding to crime, focusing on collaboration. It is separate from the criminal justice system.

What We Do

In addition to holding Community Justice Forums and our RJ Schools Program in the Cowichan Valley, we also train individuals and groups on how to facilitate RJ practices.

Our mission is to integrate Restorative Justice practices into our community.

Our vision is Restorative Justice for all.

The Cowichan Restorative Justice Society would like to acknowledge that the land on which we gather is the traditional and unceded territory of the Coast Salish People and the traditional territory of the Quw’utsun (Cowichan) Tribes.
